Fear has a way of disguising itself as logic.
“I’m not ready.”
“It’s not the right time.”
“What if it doesn’t work?”
But sometimes the real question is simply: what am I actually afraid of?
Self-awareness is where transformation begins.
Sometimes we stay because it’s familiar, not because it’s right.
Our nervous system can interpret familiarity as safety, even when we’ve already outgrown the life, relationship, job or version of ourselves we’re holding onto.
Growth often asks us to become comfortable with the unfamiliar.
Being truly seen can feel vulnerable.
What will they think?
What if they judge me?
What if I’m too much?
But shrinking yourself doesn’t guarantee acceptance.
You deserve to take up space as the person you’re becoming.
Growth can change your relationships.
Not because anyone is necessarily wrong, but because sometimes the person you’re becoming no longer fits into the dynamics you once accepted.
Not everyone is meant to follow you into every chapter.
And that can be both painful and freeing.
We want certainty before we move.
But life rarely gives us that.
Sometimes you choose, experience, adjust, learn…and only then does clarity arrive.
You don’t need the whole map to take one step.
Your mind wants to understand.
Your body sometimes just wants permission to feel.
Through breathwork and somatic awareness, we can practice listening instead of immediately controlling, fixing or analyzing everything that arises.
Sometimes surrender begins with one breath.
Take the fear out of the equation for a moment.
Not the responsibilities.
Not your intuition.
Not discernment.
Just fear.
What would you choose if fear wasn’t choosing for you?
That answer might tell you something important.
You don’t have to become fearless.
Breathe. Come back to your body.
Feel. Listen to what’s actually there.
Choose. Take the next step from awareness rather than fear.
And then… take the next step anyway. 🦋
Save this for the moment fear tries to choose for you 💜
