One of my favorite things about intarsia is that the same pattern can turn into completely different artwork depending on the artist who builds it.
Different woods, different shaping, different energy. That’s what keeps this craft alive.
These are some of the patterns I’ve been working on lately. None of them are quick AI generated files dropped into a folder and forgotten!
Every segment is individually prepared to make the build cleaner, more practical, and more enjoyable for real intarsia makers.
I try to design patterns that are not only buildable, but also visually exciting once they come to life in wood.

I honestly love designing intarsia patterns almost as much as building the actual pieces. The funny part is, I’ll probably never have enough time to make all of them myself.
Sometimes I catch myself wondering what these designs would look like in the hands of different intarsia artists around the world. Different woods, different shaping styles, different personalities. That’s the beautiful part of this art.
Every pattern in my shop is hand drawn and carefully engineered over days of work. I’m still not planning to lose to AI anytime soon 😄
The goal is always the same: clean segmentation, smooth workflow, less paper waste, easier assembly, and a result that’s genuinely fun to build.
And until your piece is finished, that pattern is still kind of my baby, so if you ever need help during the process, I’m always happy to support fellow makers.
