Writing a contract between you and any person to whom you provide a creative service is necessary to preserve your rights and the rights of the recipient of the service, and it is something that many creative people are lazy to do.
Either because they do not know how to present it or because they do not believe in its importance
Here are some points that must be included in the contract to create creative services:
1- A detailed explanation of the quality of service, quantity provided, and its details
Example (3 logo options + colors + design submission image)
2-Payment plan
This means the amount of payments and the time of receipt (time period) coinciding with the completion of the design
3-What will happen if there is a delay from any of the parties?
4- Ownership rights to the work and how to use it
5- Modification conditions, amount of modifications and their cost
6- What is required of the customer, and if he uses images or buys fonts or anything that has rights, who bears the cost?
7- General legal provisions are written in this type of contracts
There are different wordings for contracts and being a freelance designer varies from one to another
These are some sources that may be useful in general, but we recommend consulting a legal specialist to reach a suitable formula for your situation and the laws of your country.
