This was the last puzzle I managed to finish during my literary-themed puzzle month. I knew I definitely wanted to work on this one as I was going through my big stack of book puzzles so I’m glad I got to it. It’s one of the first Nova Puzzles I fell in love with that started my research on ways to get this brand in Canada. When I placed my order with last year, they didn’t have the regular 1000 piece version of this in stock but I didn’t want to delay my order so I ordered the 1500 mini-piece version instead.

Both Nova and Magnolia have this cut which is interesting to me - the dimensions of the board are of a standard 1000 piece puzzle but the pieces are a bit smaller than normal so that it’s cut into 1500 pieces. I think it’s a really interesting way to work on a more challenging puzzle (because of the higher piece count) but to still use the same amount of board space while you work on it. This would be perfect for people who have smaller puzzle boards!

In terms of the image, I mean how can you not fall in love with it? It was so fun to put together the different books and then the gradient sky. I love Elena Schweitzer’s whimsical artwork and this is the second or third puzzle I’ve worked on by them. I wish I could have squeezed in a few more book puzzles in July but my puzzling always takes a bit of a back-seat in the summer.
