93 year old Merle Stanley Murray came to Chocolate Delights and was thoroughly surprised when she found out that she was about to make chocolate. However, the real surprise came when she started to relate her childhood growing up on a cocoa estate in Pembroke, Tobago. Her clarity and details in describing her experiences in harvesting, fermenting, making cocoa balls and dancing the cocoa was outstanding. It was truly an inspiration learning from an expert and sharing in her personal experiences.

Today I had the pleasure of of meeting 81year old Yussuf Fazal Mohammed who participated in a chocolate experience with his family. Yussuf grew up on a cocoa plantation in Trinidad and shared that experience, especially dancing the cocoa. It was indeed special meeting a pioneer in the cocoa industry.
