From knowing almost nothing about hardware... to being able to teach a thing or two. π¨π
One of the things I'm most proud of is how much I've learned since joining Realtuff Builders Outlet Limited - Hardware & Home Superstore
When I first started, my knowledge of hardware was very basic. If someone had asked me about water pumps, I probably would have thought, "Just buy the cheapest one." π
Today, I know there's so much more to choosing the right pump than just the price.
Here are a few things I've learned:
β
1. Not all pump brands are the same. Some brands are built for different needs and levels of performance. At Real Tuff Builders, we carry brands such as Leo, Smart Stream, Goulds, Pentax, Total, and Ingco.
β
2. The size of your home matters. Before choosing a pump, you should know:
How many bedrooms your home has.
Whether it's a single-storey or two-storey house.
These factors help determine the correct pump size, including:
0.6 HP (Baby Pump)
0.5 HP (Β½ Horsepower)
0.8 HP (ΒΎ Horsepower)
1 HP (1 Horsepower)
β
3. There are different types of pumps. The two common types are:
Pressure Tank Pumps
Smart Head Pumps
Each has different installation and protection requirements.
π‘ Something I recently learned that really stood out to me...
A Pressure Tank Pump should be paired with a Float Switch. Since this type of pump needs water at all times, the float switch helps prevent the pump from running dry and burning out.
A Smart Head Pump, on the other hand, should be used with a Voltage Regulator because voltage fluctuations can damage the pump.
π Bonus tip: If you're purchasing a Leo Pump, it already comes with fittings attached, including two heavy-duty ball valves with unions, which can save you time and money during installation.
Every day at work reminds me that learning never stops. A few months ago, I knew very little about hardware. Today, I can confidently share what I've learnedβand I'm still learning something new every day.
That's why I always encourage people to keep investing in themselves. You never know where one new skill might lead you. π
