Pandit Lutchmidath my daughter in law is in family way. I heard someone say it has an eclipse of the moon. Please advise on what to do and don’t do 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
The next Lunar Eclipse — Trinidad & Tobago
The next lunar eclipse visible from Trinidad & Tobago is a Partial Lunar Eclipse, occurring overnight Thursday August 27 into Friday August 28, 2026.
Local Trinidad & Tobago time (AST):
Penumbral eclipse begins: 9:23 PM, Thursday Aug. 27
Partial eclipse begins: 10:33 PM
Maximum eclipse: 12:12 AM, Friday Aug. 28
Partial eclipse ends: 1:51 AM
Eclipse completely ends: 3:01 AM
Best advice is to remain prayerful between 10pm and 3am. Even if you rest have your mantras playing softly.
So, yes—this is very close: tomorrow night.
Moon Eclipse or CHANDRA GRAHAN — A SPECIAL MESSAGE TO EXPECTANT MOTHERS
To all our mothers-to-be, please take note.
According to traditional Hindu observances, a Grahan is regarded as a spiritually sensitive period. Pregnant mothers are traditionally encouraged to remain calm, prayerful and indoors during the eclipse period.
Traditional precautions include:
🙏 Keep the mind peaceful and avoid fear, anger or unnecessary anxiety.
🙏 Spend the time in prayer, meditation or chanting of God’s name.
🙏 Many traditions recommend avoiding cutting, stitching, sewing or using sharp objects during the Grahan.
🙏 Traditionally, food is avoided during the eclipse period and fresh food is prepared afterward.
🙏 After the Grahan, devotees traditionally bathe and change into clean clothes and refresh the household environment.
🙏 Pregnant mothers should not panic or become frightened—the purpose of these observances is spiritual discipline and protection, not fear.
I will usually advise my chelas to play bhajans and mantras softly. Hanuman Chalisa and Bhagwan Vishnu Mantras. Shiv mantras and stotras.
Most importantly: your health and your baby’s health come first. Do not skip prescribed medication, food, water, or medical care because of an eclipse. If you have been given specific instructions by your doctor or midwife, follow those instructions.
In Trinidad we worry and stress too much. Let the Grahan become a time of prayer rather than fear.
Keep your heart peaceful, your thoughts positive and your mind connected to Bhagwan.
