基礎油特性對照表
加氫處理(精製/裂解)油，其實並非化學合成
但其與礦物油存在極大性能差異
且分子結構已在製程中被改造過
因此各項特性都接近化學合成油
而且成本幾乎是一半
所以自從美國石油協會 (API)
刪除合成基礎油必須是化學合成的定義後
現今大多數品牌皆將其標示為合成油
