Our mid-summer party is TOMORROW Saturday (8/9)

There will be second-hand toy market, dance party with DJ Benson, and outdoor cinema (The Wild Robot) at our party! Bring your own picnic to enjoy the movie under the stars!

Our bookstore and bakery will be open as well.

今年的​花蓮鐵道文化園區的《仲夏家庭派對》將於8月9日（六）盛大登場。今年活動延續「家庭派對」主題與園區「共生共感」的核心精神，串連藝術手作、音樂表演、親子餐桌共作共享、二手玩具市集及星空戶外電影等豐富體驗，打造多代共融的親子夏日樂園。

📔｜Gaston & Gaby #英文藝術手作工作坊｜🕐​ 16:00​-18:00
園區的Gaston & Gaby烘焙坊開設花蓮第一家英文書店 Gaston & Gaby英文書屋，讓民眾可以在現場閱讀，藉由閱讀、咖啡、麵包來做交流的一個空間，同時也是提供親子閱讀以及以故事方式接觸英文的機會唷！
這次的英文藝術手作邀請長住花蓮的美籍藝術家 Kelli Jacobsen主持。Kelli過去為書屋的櫥窗做藝術繪圖、也主持多場英文說故事時間。這次活動 Kelli 會來舉辦兩場兒童藝術手工工作坊，會由 Kelli 獨特的方式用英文來帶領小朋友體驗手作，小朋友也可以將作品帶回家。 每場活動20分鐘，共四場活動。此活動適合6-12歲的兒童參加。6-8歲兒童請家長全程陪伴。

《Kitchen Confidential》／Anthony Bourdain

We (Nicolas and Yalun) have both grown up in the business. Yalun's family has owned a restaurant since she was 5. Her first job at the age of 14 was dishwashing at an upscale Italian Restaurant (Lorenzo) in Vancouver. She then moved on to prep cook, bus girl, then waitress at another French bistro (Pastis), during the three years of secondary school in Vancouver.

Nicolas started working as a cook at a local pizza joint in El Segundo, California. He then joined the popular bistro in San Francisco (Liberty Cafe), then moved on to work at the Plaza Athenee in Paris, then back to the Peninsula in Beverly Hills and Hotel Erwin in Venice Beach. We know what it is like working in the kitchen and the solidarity of working in such an environment. We truly enjoyed this milieu and enjoyed Bourdain's true portrait of the business that is oftentime overlooked by the general public.

｜WE ARE OPEN ｜

We will be open this Thursday (1/30) thru Saturday (2/1) from 10:30-4pm! Enjoy the new year to catch up on the latest New Yorker or just pick a book on cuisine, surf, or thriller ! Grab a cup of coffee or a glass of cidre :)

Our bakery will also be open as well, serving 100% sourdough breads ranging from country bread, focaccia, baguettes, and raisin oatmeal cookies

我們初二到初四英文書屋有營業，點杯咖啡或是一杯蘋果氣泡酒，享受悠閒的閱讀時間吧！

麵包店也會有營業喔，我們會有魯邦種麵包、佛卡夏、長棍等！

Free Outdoor Movie Night tonight!

The European Film Festival takes place tonight at 7pm at the Hualien Railway Culture Park. Today's movie is "Margherita Hack - The Lady Of The Stars".

Our bakery will also be open until 9pm, serving mulled w**e. Gaston & Gaby Bookstore is also open!

At the bakery there will be freshly baked sourdough bread: country whole wheat, rye bread, baguette, focaccia, shokupan, cinnamon roll, Belgium waffle, and oatmeal raisin cookies!

12月七日週六下午三點到四點，我們的英文書屋會有跟Gisellie的英文故事時間! 週六下午園區還有二手兒童市集、兒童音樂舞蹈派對等活動。也可以在一樓麵包店享用新鮮出爐的魯邦種發酵麵包，會有有鄉村全麥麵包、裸麥麵包、法式長棍、牛奶生吐司、核桃肉桂捲、起司短棍、佛卡夏、比利時鬆餅、跟葡萄乾燕麥餅乾喔！
