🤔 Semiconductor Process Basics | How Can Low Air Velocity Be Measured in Limited Installation Space?

🧐 In semiconductor process equipment, some internal pipelines, equipment air ducts, and confined ventilation paths still require monitoring of low air velocity changes. However, these locations are often restricted by equipment structure and installation space, making it difficult to install the transmitter body, wiring, and perform subsequent maintenance directly at the measurement point. Therefore, in addition to the air velocity measurement range, the installation configuration is also an important consideration when selecting a transmitter.

👍 To accommodate different equipment structures, the FDM06-L Bi-directional Low Air Flow Thermal Mass Transmitter features a compact design and is available in both Duct type and Remote type configurations. The Duct type allows the probe to be inserted directly into the duct for measurement, while the Remote type places the sensing probe inside the duct with the main unit installed outside the equipment, making wiring, operation, and subsequent maintenance more convenient.

In addition to offering different installation configurations, the FDM06-L Bi-directional Low Air Flow Thermal Mass Transmitter measures low air velocity down to 0.01 m/s, enabling even extremely small airflow changes to be detected in real time. It also features bi-directional measurement, allowing simultaneous monitoring of both airflow velocity and airflow direction, making it suitable for semiconductor process applications that require highly sensitive low air velocity measurement.

✨ Low air velocity measurement requires not only an appropriate measurement range, but also the proper installation configuration according to the available space and equipment structure, ensuring measurement stability, wiring convenience, and maintenance efficiency.
