The simple understanding of wastewater is,
Every day, when you use water in your Property to flush the toilet, take a shower, wash your hands, or wash clothes once that water has been used and goes down the drain, it becomes wastewater.
Wastewater can contain soap, grease, food Particles, dirt, human waste, urine, and other dissolved or suspended materials.
It needs to be collected, conveyed, treated, and safely managed before it is discharged or reused.
On a Property, this could mean a septic tank, biodigester, treatment system, soakaway, sewer connection, or another appropriate system, depending on the site.
And if the wastewater is Properly treated, some of it can Potentially be reused for Purposes such as irrigation or other non-Potable uses.
So, wastewater management is basically about answering one question
Where does the water go after you use it and what happens to it before it returns to the environment?
