🇺🇦 Kyiv hosted the world’s first military parade focused entirely on unmanned systems.

Instead of traditional columns of tanks and military vehicles, dozens of unmanned ground systems moved along Khreshchatyk, while Magura and Sea Baby naval drones operated on the Dnipro. UAVs were showcased in the skies alongside F-16s and Mirage 2000s.

The ground robots presented at the parade are used for reconnaissance, logistics and combat missions. Among them were the Ukrainian-made Rys Pro and TerMIT systems, including versions equipped with machine guns and rocket launchers.

The parade showed just how much Ukraine’s military has changed over 4.5 years of full-scale war. Technologies that largely played a supporting role in 2022 have now become a distinct category of weaponry — on land, in the air and at sea.

Ukraine has also become the first country in the world to establish a separate military branch dedicated to unmanned systems.

August 20, 2026 — Kyiv.

10 ballistic missiles had already hit the city.

You run to the shelter knowing there might not be enough time.

Then you sit underground and listen to the explosions.

By morning, residential buildings, a children’s hospital, a school and warehouses had been damaged. At least 13 people were killed and more than 40 injured in Kyiv and the region.

Another night in Kyiv. Another morning we somehow make it to.

Bakhmut. Through the lens of a border guard.

These photos were taken not by a photographer, but by a soldier of the Forpost Brigade between battles, as Bakhmut was being wiped off the face of the earth day after day.

There is no staging or special effects—only a devastated city, destroyed streets, burned-out houses, smoke, and the barely visible silhouettes of those who continued to hold the line.

Last night, faced another massive aerial . This time, Russia’s target was the heart of global heritage.

A strike hit the nearly 1,000-year-old Dormition Cathedral at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra—a World Heritage site and one of Europe’s oldest sacred landmarks.

This isn’t a war on military targets. It’s an attempt to erase our culture.
But monuments can be damaged; our spirit cannot. We clean up the debris, make our morning coffee, and keep moving forward.

Kyiv survived one of the hardest nights in a long time.
Russia launched a massive combined attack using drones, ballistic and cruise missiles — including reports of the “Oreshnik.”

Explosions lasted almost the entire night until around 6 AM.
People spent hours in bathrooms, hallways and shelters while Kyiv burned again.

According to Ukrainian officials, around 600 drones and 90 missiles were launched across Ukraine, with Kyiv as the main target. Residential buildings, infrastructure and entire districts were damaged.

Another sleepless night in Ukraine. Another morning where people somehow keep going. 🇺🇦

💔Russian forces struck Kyiv with ballistic missiles overnight. A residential building was hit, and rescue operations are ongoing. People may still be trapped under the rubble.
