Aphelandra seeds have a fairly good germination rate. Sowing begins at the end of winter or early spring. You will need a loose substrate consisting of river sand and leaf soil, with four parts of sand. The seed material needs moderate heat (approximately 20-22 °C) to germinate. If you want to see shoots as early as possible, grow the crop in greenhouse conditions with the addition of bottom heating.
