The cockpit of the Henschel Hs 129 was extremely compact, and some of the instruments associated with the engines were therefore relocated outside the cockpit onto external instrument panels mounted on the inboard sides of the engine nacelles, following the same principle as that used on the Junkers Ju 88.

The cockpit of the Focke-Wulf Fw 200 Condor. Judging by the instruments fitted to the instrument panel, this appears to be a pre-war civilian passenger version. Note the Focke-Wulf company logo on the rudder pedals.

Messerschmitt Me 263 cockpit. The first photograph shows a panel fitted with almost all of its instruments, while the second shows the panel with cardboard mock-ups of the instruments. It is worth noting that the instruments are arranged differently on the two panels, and it is possible that the instrument panel of a production aircraft would have been considerably different in appearance.
The Me 263 was a further development of the Me 163, but despite all efforts, only three aircraft had been completed by the end of the war, none of which ever took to the air.
