Every entrepreneur need to relentlessly be in pursuit of building the most dominant, customer-focused enterprise in modern history.
From the beginning, your focus has to be offering your customers compelling value.
Make your value exceed all the costs, the experience you create must exhibit enough value -- by offering low prices, limitless sacrifice and selection and flawless fulfillment -- that would help overcome the early barriers of any business taking off. Sell at low cost but think long term.
*"Do you want your customer to buy from you once in 2 years or buy 48times in the same period?"* *What do you cherish, profit making or sustaining revenue turn around for a long time?*
*Does your business make your customers' lives easier or better in some tangible way? If so, they'll probably buy just about anything from you.*
Something i have learnt over time, you *MUST* fear your customers, not competitors.
Just like your competitors you are all focused on the same customer, so don't be afraid of your competitors, because they're never going to send you money. *You must have to be afraid of your customers, because those are the folks who have the money.* In other words, focus your worry where it really matters.
Thinking long term, i mean investing in your customers in initial stages.....this makes them believe in what you are building, the impact you are causing well as a feeling of being part of the business' journey.
Meanwhile listen to your critics -- but not too much. If you are on a mission expect criticism. *"If you can't afford to be misunderstood, don't do anything new or innovative."* In case you are handling criticism. "First, look in a mirror and decide if your critics are right, "If they're right, change."
