We are truly grateful to everyone who joined our Knowledge Exchange Webinar on EU Deforestation and Anti-Greenwashing Rules. Your active participation, thoughtful questions, and valuable contributions made the session both insightful and impactful.

A special thank you to our excellent facilitators: Lucas Villanueva Legler, Alena Kahle and Virginia Enssle, for sharing valuable perspectives and practical knowledge on the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), EMPCO, anti-greenwashing requirements and sustainable trade.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to WFTO Africa and the Middle East for the partnership that made this important knowledge exchange possible.

The discussions reinforced a shared commitment: as global sustainability and market requirements evolve, smallholder producers must be supported not excluded from sustainable, compliant, and fair global value chains.

To all our participants from diverse sectors and organisations, thank you for your time, interest, questions, and contributions. Together, we are building more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient value chains.

We look forward to continuing the conversation and creating more opportunities for learning, collaboration, and action.

This morning, RSTC had the pleasure of hosting officials from GIZ Uganda and the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development – Uganda for a productive engagement focused on building future partnerships to advance women’s economic empowerment through Uganda’s crafts sector.

The discussions explored collaborative approaches to strengthening the crafts value chain, expanding market opportunities for women artisans, preserving traditional craftsmanship, and positioning locally made products for greater national recognition and commercial success.

By working together, RSTC, Uganda and the of Gender, Labour and Social Development – Uganda are laying the foundation for impactful partnerships that will empower women-led enterprises, create sustainable livelihoods, and contribute to inclusive economic development across the country.

We look forward to translating these discussions into meaningful action and lasting impact.

Every detail in your hotel reflects your commitment to responsible hospitality.

Our beautifully handcrafted waste bins, designed for plastic waste collection, help hotels advance their ESG goals while enhancing guest rooms with authentic African craftsmanship. Each bin is sustainably made by skilled women artisans from the Rwenzori region using environmentally responsible materials, creating dignified livelihoods while reducing reliance on plastic alternatives.

Choose décor that does more than look beautiful, it supports local communities, promotes sustainable procurement, and demonstrates your commitment to a cleaner, more responsible future.

Transform your guest rooms with handcrafted solutions that make sustainability visible and leave a lasting impression on every guest.

If you’d like, I can also make this more persuasive for hotel procurement managers or align it with ESG reporting frameworks and sustainable sourcing commitments.
