When was the last time you did something just for the joy of it?
Quite a few years ago, my young nephew asked me a question I still remember: “What are your hobbies?”
I was taken aback. Not only because he was so thoughtful for his age, but because I had to admit that I had ZERO hobbies! 😂
At the time, I had four little kids, all six and under, and life was FULL. Finding time for something just for me was nowhere near the top of my priority list.
But you know what? My nephew had a point.
No matter how busy life gets, we all need something that's just for US. Something we do because we love it, not because it's productive, earns money, or checks something off our to-do list.
Hobbies give us space to breathe, create, explore, and reconnect with ourselves beyond all the roles we fill every day. They bring joy, support our emotional well-being, and remind us that we're allowed to do things simply because they make us happy.
Today, I'm grateful to have several hobbies I can get lost in, and I hope you have something that fills your cup, too!
✨ Your gentle reminder this week: Make time for something you love. Revisit an old hobby or get curious about something new.
Tell me in the comments: What's a hobby you absolutely love, or something you've always wanted to try? 🌱
