The Blind Eyes Mind Handcrafted items created or inspired by a visually impaired artist. My name is Joe Daniels and I am a visually impaired physically disabled man.

I suffer from shaken baby syndrome. I am a family man. I have a loving wife, Paulette, who helps me with the computer aspect of my business. She also crafts for our store as well. I have always loved art, I used it a lot as a child to help battle my ADHD. As I got older it became a great outlet for my frustrations. As I grew older normal life things happened. I got married and had 3 kids. Through

life circumstances, I ended up becoming Mr. Mom and art took a backseat. Fast forward 20 years, kids are all grown up and the wife has a 40 hour a week job as a nurse. What am I suppose to do? Well, first depression kicked in, self-pity and self-doubt. I didn't feel like I had any value as a human, let alone was a contributing member of my household. My wife said enough and took me to a great doctor who gave me medications to manage my pain and my emotions. It took a little while to level things out but during the dark times, my wife encouraged me to return to my art. I began slowly to find the colors in my life again. My goal now is to inspire others, sell my art so I can live on. I'm also learning to teach others. I'm also learning more, exploring more, and pushing the envelope more and more. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, personal or about art pieces. We welcome the challenge of custom orders. With paint pours, however, we can customize with color but can't predict how the piece will turn out. They are all different, not ever the same piece twice. It's a great adventure.
