I’m sitting in the airport waiting for my flight back to Aberdeen. It’s been an emotional two weeks, burying my father in law, comforting my husband and getting my mother in law settled into a memory ward in an assisted living residence. These people right here helped me stay grounded and focused on what matters most in this life. All eight of my children were there for us during this time. It was a gift to watch them honor their Grandfather’s memory and comfort their Grandma in her loss. They truly are a blessing from the Lord.
