The Bunker

The Bunker Moore country’s only veteran owned surplus store, The Bunker, has moved! At the Bunker we buy and sell US and foreign military items used from WWI to present.

The Bunker is Moore County's only veteran owned military surplus & Militaria collectibles shop servicing Aberdeen, Carthage, Cameron, Vass, West End, Southern Pines, Pine Bluff, Whispering Pines, 7 Lakes, Robbins, and Pinehurst. For the past five and a half years Tom Flores operated his army surplus and historical military collectibles shop out of the former 1920s Esso gas station on Poplar St. In

January 2021, The Bunker moved into Aberdeen's historic district, at 119 N Sycamore Street. The new facility is 8 times the size of the original Bunker location but you will still find the same Great deals and amazing Militaria and it’s all conveniently displayed for your shopping pleasure. We have a little bit of everything and if we don't have what you're looking for let us know and I will see if we can get it in stock. Our aim is to carry a variety of items sought after by people not just in Aberdeen, Southern Pines, Pinehurst, but throughout the Sandhills area. In stock items include new or pre-owned field gear (i.e. ammo pouches, medical and first aid pouches, butt packs, pistol belts, LBE, LBV, LCE, FLC items, canteens, etools, and more), shelter halves and tents, ALICE and MOLLE ruck sacks and packs, camouflage uniforms (ie BDUs, ACUs, DCUs, and Multicam), helmets, boonies, hats, berets, leather and desert boots, badge and patch insignia, inert ordnance, bayonets, maps and documents, wooden ammunition crates, footlockers, field desks, ammo cans, cold and wet weather jackets, cots, tents, and much, much more. We recently added demilled and non functioning ordnance and crew served training aids, as well as historical displays. We also list items online, selling collectible militaria through eBay under the username, "thebunker_in_aberdeen_nc". Selling locally, and through the internet, enables our inventory to constantly turn over; resulting in new and different stock items. Looking to trade an item for something you can use? Give us a call or come on in we buy, sell, or trade.

I’m back from Arizona and the store is open for normal
Working hours today and Thursday. However, Robin Sage kicks off at the end of the week so I’ll be on irregular hours starting Friday until the 24th.

Keep in mind you can always call, text, or message me and I’m sure we can work something out during this time.

I picked up a few things that will be hitting the floor soon:

Vietnam 2 qt canteen covers
Vietnam first aid pouch with the plastic snap
Cold War date first aid pouches for the LCE
M1951 suspenders
Dust goggles
M20 3.5” rockets
Italian gas mask
Improved hot weather OCP pants
And More!

I took inventory of the shoulder boards I have on hand. Don’t over spend buying them on post when you can save the trip and pick them up at The Bunker. If you’re collecting them take a look at the few that are bullion made or the older boards from the 80s.

I also have a variety of full size and mini medals.

In 1991 more than half a million Americans served in Operation Desert Storm, an allied campaign that freed Kuwait from the Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. Today, that campaign is all but forgotten. Marine veteran Scott Stump set out to build a memorial to Desert Storm, and the 148 Americans killed in...
