Today we will be addressing one of our Maker’s Mark private selection barrels. Finished in 10 selected staves the profile includes: 4 baked American pure, 4 seared French Cuvee and 2 roasted French mendiant staves. It sits at 109.2 proof (54.6% ABV) and is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey.
The initial aroma is rich with ethanol but as you let it sit notes of oak and eventually grapes start to flourish. The mouth is very warming and almost creamy and the primary flavors are oak with hints of vanilla. The finish mellows into the vanilla more and is reminiscent of marshmallows.

Today’s pick is our 1792 Bottled in Bond. This barrel pick is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon distilled in the ‘bottled in bond’ style, resulting in a 100 proof (50% ABV) whiskey.
The first aroma that comes forth is a distinct banana and caramel mixed with a cinnamon, reminiscent of a nice banana dessert. The texture is a combination of chewy and creamy as it really settles into that banana flavor. Heavy notes of caramel peak through and a hint of smokiness sneaks around the back end finishing off in a creamy butterscotch flavor.

Today we will be focusing on our Four Roses Barrel Pick. Aged for 10 years and 3 months with a 20% rye mashbill, it sits in the OESF of Four Roses’ bourbon recipes. The barrel pick is a barrel strength that sits at 111.6 Proof (55.8% ABV).
The first notes come in with a strong ethanol and mint while the first taste gives a full bodied orange. The finish is smooth and minty with a hint of herbal notes similar to anise.

Today we would like to introduce you to one of our personally selected barrel picks. The Rebecca Creek Distiller’s Collection is one of 16 barrels, all aged at a minimum of 8 years. Each barrel contains a caramel and spice mixed bourbon carefully crafted from the Texas Hill Country. Our barrel selection is a cask strength bourbon that sits at 135 Proof (67.5% APV). It’s a bashmill of 60% Corn, 36% Rye and 4% Malted Barley.

The first pop of the cork wafts a fierce citrus aroma mixed with a smooth vanilla. The amber liquid is silky smooth with a powerful kick if consumed too quickly. As you drink the bourbon it offers a smokey and warming sensation and mellows out into a creamy vanilla with notes of toasted caramel.
This Barrel pick is limited in numbers and only approximately 30 bottles remain.

The 4th of July is just around the corner and as we prepare to celebrate for the 250 years of the USA, we have prepared a celebration of our own.
On July 3rd we will be hosting a tasting from 1pm to 7pm with an assortment of liquors to try from whiskey to dirty cream soda! There will be something for everyone and a perfect time to prepare for the celebrations on the 4th. ❤️🤍💙
The event will be separated into two halves, 1pm to 4pm is the first half and 4pm to 7pm is the second. At 4pm the tasting materials will change to a different selection of products to try.
