Grace Elliott-Jones was born in Texas but spent most of her early years growing up in California. After graduating from high school she attended a Bible college in Wisconsin and received additional instruction in culture and language in preparation for missionary service. She served as a missionary in Bogota, Columbia while in her 20,s.
Before long she returned to Texas, married and had two children. When her husband became disabled, she went back to college and began her studies toward a degree in social work. After the death of her first husband, she completed her degree and worked as a Licensed Social Worker for twenty years. During this time, she remarried.
Although she has experienced many losses in her life, she remains a very positive person. She and her husband of more than twenty years serve in leadership roles in a small country church in west Texas.
Grace enjoys the hobbies of singing, watercolor painting, and writing. In writing Jimmy's Answer she had the opportunity to use some of these skills, not only in constructing the story, but also by adding watercolor to Hugh John Stockton's illustrations.
