Today is National Dog Day!! We wanted to share Willis’ rags to riches story. We found him at Taylor Jones Humane Society in 2018. He was about 2-3 yrs old. We decided we wanted to bring him to work with us so we took him for training at Van Buren K-9 Academy. He earned his certificate and now he works everyday. He wears many hats at the nursery. One minute he’s greeting customers, next he is inspecting new shipments of plants, taking naps, supervising every construction project we’ve had, taking more naps, supervising all of the employees, going to Radio every Saturday, escorting us on banking errands, promoting the nursery on Facebook and TV commercials and guarding his home. He works so hard everyday sometimes he sleeps in the weirdest positions. He is truly loved by all of his employees. He has them all wrapped around his paw and has trained them all very well. When we remodeled inside the store we had an office put in just for him, since he works so hard. We are all pretty sure he thinks he is the owner now. He truly is the best!!!
