Tea Brewing & Steeping Guide

Brew the Perfect Cup Every Time
A great cup of tea starts with the right water temperature and steeping time. Follow these simple guidelines to enjoy the fullest flavor from every blend.

🌿 Green Tea
Water Temperature: 170-180°F (77-82°C)
Tea Amount: 1 teaspoon per 8 oz of water
Steeping Time: 2-3 minutes

Brewing Tip:
Water that is too hot can make green tea bitter. Allow boiling water to cool for a few minutes before pouring.

🫖 Black Tea
Water Temperature: 200-212°F (93-100°C)
Tea Amount: 1 teaspoon per 8 oz of water
Steeping Time: 3-5 minutes

Brewing Tip:
For a stronger cup, steep a little longer rather than adding more tea leaves.

🤎 Rooibos Tea
Water Temperature: 212°F (100°C)
Tea Amount: 1 teaspoon per 8 oz of water
Steeping Time: 5-7 minutes

Brewing Tip:
Rooibos is naturally caffeine-free and remains smooth even when steeped longer.

🌺 Herbal Teas
Water Temperature: 212°F (100°C)
Tea Amount: 1-2 teaspoons per 8 oz of water
Steeping Time: 5-7 minutes

Brewing Tip:
Cover your cup while steeping to keep the aromatic oils from escaping.

🍓 Fruit Teas
Water Temperature: 212°F (100°C)
Tea Amount: 1-2 teaspoons per 8 oz of water
Steeping Time: 7-10 minutes

Brewing Tip:
Fruit teas require a longer steep to fully release their flavor and natural sweetness.

🧡 Chai Tea
Water Temperature: 212°F (100°C)
Tea Amount: 1-2 teaspoons per 8 oz of water
Steeping Time: 5-7 minutes

Traditional Chai Method
1. Bring water to a boil.
2. Add chai tea and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
3. Add an equal amount of milk or your favorite milk alternative.
4. Sweeten with honey, maple syrup, or sugar to taste.
5. Strain and enjoy!

For a richer and more authentic chai, gently simmer the tea on the stovetop rather than simply steeping.
