Our Choir produced two songs this semester. This is my favorite - a cover I arranged from the group Black Violin, called Magic. We added sign language to reach a different audience through music. Please enjoy and don't forget to look for the magic in every day :)

Thanks to all my new followers and new students! 2018 is my 10th year teaching private lessons. I started with a former student of mine from the Nichols School in Buffalo, NY, taking on his cousin and sister shortly after. Then my studio grew. I moved to Philadelphia in 2014 to get back into the Public School Classroom. While both teaching venues are rewarding for me, I think the one-on-one aspect of piano lessons teach students the self-guiding habits of practice more effectively. Public education is important for the collaboration skills, while private instruction is imperative for self-motivation and individual, technical growth. Shout out to my former students in Buffalo, NY - I miss you all so dearly!

One of the most important parts of teaching music is letting students have the freedom of creativity. When my students think of an idea, we roll with it. Having free improv or organized improv with 7 yr olds is the highlight of my evenings.
