I blinked and it's been a month. I don't even know where the time goes anymore. Actually, that's not really true, I know where it's gone, but also: Time Blindness Sucks.
I saw a funny but uncomfortably true reel the other day that noted "imagine how much would be written about the Adderall shortage if there weren't an Adderall shortage." And wow do I feel that. It's been about 2 months since I've been able to fill my actual prescription. There's a different med in a different dose that my pharmacy was able to fill (after consulting my doctor, obviously), and while better than nothing it is very much not the med that had been consistently effective for me and also I've got more side effects.
Which is all to say, ✨I'm trying✨, I promise I am. Did I plan to release this finished, blocked, photographed hat a full month ago? Sure. But not unlike my prescription, releasing tomorrow is certainly better than nothing, and right now I'll take it.
Lots of hyper-fixated love and executive dysfunctioning support to everyone out there white knuckling through their structured tasks along with me right now. It sucks, but we'll get through it and from the bottom of my heart: doing some is doing enough. Be nice to yourselves tonight, and I'm looking forward to seeing you again tomorrow with a shiny new pattern.
The silver lining on this one is I'm actually almost done with the matching gloves that I haven't remembered to post a single photo of, so assuming I can manage the tasks involved, I'll have a follow up pattern very soon after the hat 🤣
