🌟 Calling All Quilters & Sewists! 🌟

We're coming together next Wednesday to help create quilts for those impacted by the Spokane-area fires, and we'd love your help.

💛 The Warm Company has generously donated a roll of batting for long-arming the quilts.

💛 Sara Goss is coordinating the sewing day on Wednesday

💛 We'll be providing fabric, workspace, and long-arm quilting services to help turn quilt tops into finished quilts for families in need.

Whether you're an experienced quilter or enjoy sewing quilt tops, every helping hand makes a difference. If you have a quilt top you'd like to donate or would like to spend a few hours sewing with us, we'd love to have you join us.

If you're interested in coming next Wednesday, please comment below so Sara can get an idea of how many people to plan for.

As we all watch the devastating fires impacting communities across Washington, I'd like to help.

If you're sewing quilts, pet beds, or other handmade comfort items for fire victims and their pets, I'm happy to lend the use of my long arm quilting machine at my home so you can finish your projects. If you have basic long arm experience, you're welcome to use it. I also have a large supply of scrap fabric that I'd be glad to donate for this effort.

I'm also willing to open up the retreat house for sewing groups to come together and sew items for this cause. We have space for 8 or so sewers in the house on portable tables and it's air conditioned and nice and cool and out of the smoke.

I believe there's a quilt shop collecting finished donations. I'll see if I can find that information, or if anyone knows which shop or organization is coordinating collections, please share it in the comments.

Let's come together and help bring a little comfort to families, and their furry companions, who have lost so much. ❤️

Join us at Create It Studio in September 19th 3pm, as we transform old denim and quilting cotton scraps into a one-of-a-kind jacket and coordinating skirt. You'll learn the techniques, tips, and tricks for working with denim while creating a truly unique wearable quilt.✨ Every project will be completely different because it's made from your denim and your fabric!

⏰ September 19th 3pm This is a 3-hour workshop. You won't finish the entire project during class, but you'll leave with it well underway and the confidence to complete it at home.

Oh man... a festival is this weekend! 😄 I guess I'd better get stitching!

I'm busy making these adorable dress toppers for the Bigfoot tea towels I'll have at the Bigfoot Festival this Saturday in Maple Falls. The towels are made from beautiful, heavy 100% cotton tea towels, and I can't wait to share the finished look with you. I am using the American Made solid cotton for the toppers which break out the colors on the towel.

I'll post more photos later this week as I get a few completed. Right now, it's all about cutting out the dress toppers.

And can we just take a moment to appreciate the colorful fabric scraps all over the floor? Sometimes the scraps are just as pretty as the finished project! ❤️🧵
