Today's newsletter has landed in your inbox. In it, our events manager Casey wrote about the recently departed Jane Yolen, and what she meant to Casey and the KidLit community in general. We were certainly very sad to hear of Jane's passing, and know that her memory will be eternal.

SATURDAY!!! We will be at Fifer's Day, as it's one of our favorite annual traditions, and this year we'll have a special guest. Our bestie Maddie Frost will be joining us to celebrate the release of her new book, "The Stuffie Stand," and she'll have her real life stuffie stand with her. Look who stopped by!!!! We were so sad that Alexandra Bye, who designed the poster for this year's Kids Graphic Novel Festival, wasn't able to join us on Festival day. But today she was able to stop by and sign books for us, so we have autographed copies of the entire "We**ie featuring Frank and Beans series," plus a bunch more of her books. EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT!!! We had so much fun the last time, we thought we'd do it again! That's right, we are once again hosting Boston Celtics superstar, NBA champion, and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, Jayson Tatum, in celebration of his new picture book, "Baby Dunks-a-Lot: The Day the Basketballs Stopped Bouncing" !!!

This time we're doing so with our besties at Newtonville Books, and the event will be held at the Newton Community Stage. Our good friend Howard Bryant will once again be joining Jayson in conversation, and we couldn't be more thrilled!!!
