Reminder: Wood cutting boards, salad bowls, butcher blocks and utensils need maintenance ti remain functional, beautiful and safe to use.

We recommend using a food grade mineral oil, or other food safe wood conditioner. Ideally not a cooking oil which can become sticky and smell bad.

Oiling not only makes wood items look beautiful, but it also seals them so they don’t absorb moisture and flavors, and it conditions them so that your cutting boards remain flat, your wooden utensils don’t warp and discolor, and your salad bowls don’t crack.
