My monstera adonsaii is loving this trellis! It’s been one month since I added this trellis and it’s already time for the extension piece! The leaves are huge and there’s a lot of new growth. Excited to see what happens!

I prefer growing Monsteras on wood planks instead of moss poles (just personal preference) but it’s not easy to extend wood planks. Treleaf solved this problem with the modular Zella trellis. Their trellises are also significantly more beautiful than plain wood planks 💚.

This is probably one of the most beautiful Monstera Albo leaves I’ve filmed (in my opinion). 🪴

Why does your pothos have tiny leaves? 🌿 Here’s the science.

Pothos, monstera, and philodendron are natural climbers. In the wild, they grow up tree trunks toward the light.

🌱 Climbing = bigger leaves. As these plants climb, they mature. Leaves grow larger, and monsteras develop more of their famous splits.

🍃 Hanging = smaller leaves. When vines trail down, new leaves often stay small and spaced out. The plant is still “searching” for something to climb.

You need to understand the climbing pattern of your plant to be able to pick the right kind of support.

Watering is the single most important thing you do for your plant, and top watering is the way most of us do it. You pour water onto the soil, it flows down through, and it drains out the bottom of the pot.

Easy, right?

This is also where people make the biggest mistake. The extra runoff pools underneath the pot, and a plant sitting in that water can develop root rot from oversaturation. Not the thank-you your plant was hoping for!

The good news is the fix is simple. Catch the water, then pour it out.

Tera Sausr was made for exactly that. It's a water tray with Monstera leaf design, so it looks good with your plant instead of being tucked away. The water drains into the tray, your pot stays resting on top, and runoff stops being a worry.

Did you know there are two ways to water your plants?

Top watering is the one most of us know - water goes onto the soil from above and drains through the bottom of the pot.

With bottom watering, the pot sits in water and the soil absorbs moisture through the drainage hole.

Whichever method you use, drainage is important. And once that water drains out, you'll want a saucer to catch it rather than leaving your plant sitting in water.

That's where Mia and Tera come in.

Mia is made for bottom watering and takes its shape from the Peperomia leaf. Tera Sausr is inspired by the Monstera and catches the water that drains from your pot.
