As I work towards full retirement, I’m catching up on some family projects. We found these rusty hardware cabinets at a yard sale for $10. There were two drawers missing. Based on a design from “The Good Junk Co.” in Sonoia, GA, we built these two industrial-style tables. I think they are a pretty nice improvement over the rusty originals. Do you?

We were entrusted with another family heirloom. I think it came out great. It’s back home now, proudly displayed in honor of this family’s history. Thank you for letting us help.

We were asked to refinish this top to an antique Singer treadle sewing machine. After stripping, a treatment of oxalic acid helped remove the stains. Next, veneer bubbles were noted in the center of the field and these were addressed. Once all of this work was done the challenge of color matching the top to the 100 year old finish was undertaken. We think it came out pretty well. How about you?

Come along as we repair and restore a vintage mahogany barrel chair. This chair suffered a lot of structural damage over the years and was missing large hunks of wood off the frame as well as having loose leg joints and a very unfortunate break to the crest rail. The video shows the repairs only. Spoiler alert, it came out great and a photo after the refinishing will follow. Enjoy!

A mahogany barrel chair arrived with lots of damage which needed to be repaired prior to refinishing. At the end of the video will be a short channel updat...

We had a few minutes to kill, so I dug out this yard sale find Wilton Vise that I have been meaning to restore. We fixed a broken center pin and then it got a full cosmetic restoration and mechanical tune up. It's on it's way to Tacoma, WA at a shipping cost of $130!!! Yikes!!
