You might be having a bad Monday, but…

At least this prisoner transport box isn’t your ride to work this morning!

Freedom is a blessing. Freedom is the goal. Moving this metal and staying free. 🔥

You’ve seen the green machine! Now see the absolute unit that operates it. 💪

Meet the man: Zach Sanders.

Zach is a heavy equipment operator and CDL driver at our Ada location, and he’s been with ScrapWorks for a year and a half.

He’s a graduate of Vanoss High School and Pontotoc Technology Center. Recertified heavy equipment operator with CDL.

He’s married to Skyler, and they have a one-year-old son — who already has training wheels on the Sennebogen. 🦖

Outside of work, Zach collects square body Chevys (six or eight and counting), enjoys gaming, and spends his free time with family.

We’re glad to have him on the team, moving metal!

O-H-I-O = Only handle it once. 👊

Ada, Oklahoma is named after a little girl. 👀

In 1891, this was Indian Territory — no state, no county seat, just a general store run by a man named Jeff Reed.

Reed wanted his town to have a post office. So he walked twelve miles with a heavy mail sack on his back to make it happen.

The Postal Service turned down his first two names: “Sulphur Springs” and “Reed’s Store.”

So he named it after his daughter.
July 10, 1891 — the town officially became Ada.

For the first ten years, almost nothing happened. By 1900, only 180 people lived here.

Then the railroad came through in 1901. Cotton took off. And Ada exploded — 180 people to 4,600 in seven years.

A store. A post office. A man willing to walk twelve miles.
That’s what built this town.

Same kind of people who know the value of hard work. We’re proud to be part of the next chapter.
