It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Tilt Bookshop has closed.

This is not the ending we hoped for and due to circumstances beyond our control, we were unable to continue operating Tilt. While we are deeply saddened by how things unfolded, we are grateful for the time we had and for every person who supported us along the way.

We also want to sincerely apologize for the confusion, uncertainty, and planning whiplash of the past month. We know there have been a lot of changes and announcements and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigated a difficult situation.

From the very beginning, Tilt was built because of a community that believed in it. Whether you shopped with us, attended an event, donated books, shared our posts, or simply encouraged us, thank you. Your support meant more than you know.

While this chapter is coming to a close, we hope you’ll continue to support us over at Preacher’s Dive + Coffee Bar. We are excited about what lies ahead there and look forward to continuing to serve this community in a new way.

Thank you for being part of Tilt’s story. We will always be grateful.

🚨 PSA: Tilt is officially returning to Friday–Sunday hours 🚨

Why? Because we’re still proudly volunteer-run and our crew is showing up big to make sure your weekends stay stacked with good books, vinyl, and chaos (the fun kind).

Our volunteers are here, ready to serve you, recommend your next obsession, and talk you into buying “just one more” every single time.

So plan your weekend accordingly! Come hang, dig through the shelves, and make it a whole thing.

And don’t forget to swing by while you’re at it… caffeine, breakfast, burgers! Because nothing pairs better with books than food that might sell out if you hesitate.

🚨 ATTENTION BOOK NERDS & COMMUNITY LEGENDS 🚨

Tilt is volunteer-run. Which is very cool… until we don’t have enough volunteers and then ⚡️boom⚡️ weekends like this happen.

No volunteers = no open doors.
No open doors = no books, no vinyl, no chaotic bookish conversations, and honestly that’s just depressing.

If you love books, love community, or just want an excuse to hang out in a bookshop and tell people what to read… we need you.

Help keep the lights on, the shelves stocked, and the doors open.

Send us a message if you’re interested in volunteering at Tilt. Your local indie bookshop (and your future reading list) will thank you.

THIS WEEK’S HOURS
Tilt runs on volunteers, caffeine, and vibes. When we don’t have volunteer coverage, we don’t open. This weekend is one of those weeks.

We’ll be open Friday–Sunday, ready to sling books and say hi.

Until then, go support downtown like a pro: hit up (open Thursday–Monday) and grab a coffee, breakfast, or burger because if you wait, they will sell out and you will regret it.

Support local. Eat first. Read later.

Even though it missed the mark, Tilt is closed today for anyone traveling to visit. Safety first always. 🖤
