New in the shop! Natures bandaid, a milled blend of yarrow and plantain. Yarrow is naturally hemostatic and antiseptic while plantain heals and aids regeneration. Apply directly to cuts, burns, stings or add water to make a paste and apply to affected area.

Also new, dried bayberry ( Myrica pensylvanica). This is a native herb grown at the House mouse, not the same a bay leaf however, it can be used as a substitute in culinary dishes. Bayberry is a very aromatic herb and is a wonderful scent to add to potpourri for a natural room freshener.

Excited to announce! The House Mouse now carries Mama Obie’s sweets and treats FREEZE DRIED ICE CREAM!! Flavors in Stock, super hero, scooter crunch strawberry, butter pecan, strawberries & cream, black cherry, orange cream pop, moose tracks, vanilla ice cream sandwich, Neapolitan ice cream sandwich.** We have also added more freeze dried fruit including, black berries, red raspberries, peaches, Fuji apples, bananas, pineapple, strawberries and blueberries.
We are also trying a new candle line, chakra! Scents available are balance and awakening, wisdom + right vision, cosmic energy + bliss, devotion + compassion, energy+ productivity, and creativity + confidence.
We also have a few moonlit garden evening skincare sets available.

We want to welcome Thomas Kunish from the VAAST bed and breakfast as a new consigner here!! Thomas laser engraves items such as the glass cylinders and the dad joke card game(available in our shop), if you have laser engraving needs please reach out to us and we will put you in contact with Thomas.

Plus there are some new handspun yarns in alpaca available, a few new handwoven baskets and dried herbs added frequently, white clover, calendula, rugosa rose petals, catnip, mullein, and feverfew.

A neighbor graciously gave me some alpaca fur! This is our first step in the process of turning it into yarn, running it through a picker, (looks like a medieval torture device)which separates the fiber and removes vegetation. After 2 times through the picker, it will get run in a drum carder to make batts for spinning into yarn, then washed. If you stop by the shop I will be spinning it into yarn on a spinning wheel tomorrow.

Happy Mother’s Day! New herbs added to the shop! Grown and dried at the House Mouse, chemical free. Fancy parsley, oregano, mountain mint( makes a lovely tea), calendula ( great for skin), rugosa rose- so many uses, tea, potpourri, sleep pillow, add to baking, the list goes on!) more herbs will be added as the harvest season progress.

Another first harvest for the season, Lovage! This herb is a game changer as a substitute for celery! It gives a hearty flavor to soups, stews, meatloaf, combines well with spinach, lentils or bland foods like potato. High in vitamin C. Grown, harvested and dehydrated at the House Mouse with no chemicals applied. Available dried in 2 oz bags, if you prefer fresh for salads or eat the stems please contact us in advance and we can harvest prior to pickup for freshness.
Also, new in the shop, amulet/ forager basket. Small to hang around the neck, used for collecting small herbs or stones. Great for rendezvous or reenactment. Basket handmade with reed, neck cord made with natural h**p cord, with glass beading on the side.
