From an empty ballroom to a fully immersive experience.

Rich emerald tones, dramatic lighting, custom table layouts, layered details and intentional design came together to transform every corner of this event.

Sometimes the statement isn’t just the centerpiece. It’s the floor plan.

For this celebration, I designed a table within a table, creating layers, dimension and a completely different experience for the guests seated within the space.

Custom event design starts long before we choose the flowers. The way your guests move through, sit in and experience the room is part of the design too.

Your floor plan should never feel like an afterthought.

Over Six years ago, back in my Amazon days, I started working with this lady in China.

Today, she’s my logistics partner and one of the people quietly working behind the scenes to keep things moving.

She coordinates orders from multiple suppliers, consolidates everything, gets my containers loaded and manages the logistics all the way from China to my doorstep in Texas.

And this is also a little part of why I can listen to some of your wildest event ideas and say, “we can make that happen.” 😂

Having the right relationships and resources means I’m not limited to what’s sitting in a local rental warehouse. We can curate and source the inventory needed to make an event feel intentional, different and truly yours.

After six years of shipments, last minute requests, problem solving and countless messages across time zones, we had somehow never met in person.

She came to the U.S. for the first time, and of course we had to make it happen.

Finally meeting one of the wheels turning in China. 🇨🇳

🎨 The Power of a Well-Planned Color Palette

One of the biggest mistakes people make when designing an event is choosing colors they love individually without considering how they work together.

For this event, every design element was intentionally selected to create harmony, depth, and visual balance. Notice how the color palette flows seamlessly from the linens to the florals, table settings, and decorative accents. When colors are thoughtfully layered, they create an experience that feels cohesive, elevated, and memorable.

Here are 3 tips for choosing your event color palette:

1️⃣ Start with one dominant color that sets the mood.
2️⃣ Add one or two complementary colors for balance and dimension.
3️⃣ Incorporate neutrals or metallics to create sophistication and prevent the design from feeling overwhelming.

A beautiful event isn’t just about pretty decor—it’s about creating a visual story through intentional color choices.

This design may be from two years ago, but great color theory never goes out of style.

From backyard to breathtaking ✨🎓

One thing about us at Events D’Lux , we LOVE a unique floor plan. Because sometimes round tables are just… boring 😌

For this luxury graduation celebration, we designed the layout using pill shaped oval tables to create movement, elegance, and a more intentional guest experience throughout the space.

We also played heavily with texture layering:
✨ Damask textured linens
✨ Satin napkins
✨ Ornate textured goblets
✨ Crystal glass urns
✨ Luxe statement lamps

Every detail was thoughtfully curated to add depth, dimension, and sophistication to the overall design.
