Good afternoon

My name is Valerie Herr and I am chair of the Artalicious committee. It is with a heavy heart that i share with you that due to the weather forcast our volunteer committee has made the extremely difficult decision to cancel Artalicious 2026. This decision was not made lightly. In the past 19 years Artalicious has never faced a weather forecast such as this. It isn't simply rain. Rain we could persevere though and have in the past. It's a 100% chance of rain, thunderstorms and wind guests of up to 20 miles per hour. This is not conducive nor safe for an outdoor art event.

We share your frustration and disappointment with this decision.

Many of our local businesses will still be open this weekend as well as Adrain District Library's book sale. We encourage you to continue to support our downtown business.

This is not the end of Artalicious, simply a bump in road from Mother Nature. Work will begin immediately on Artalicious 2027 and we can't wait to see you next year.

New outdoor seating has been installed throughout Downtown Adrian, just in time for the 2026 Artalicious Fine Arts Fair. Find a spot to relax and take it all in this Saturday and Sunday!

Mural Ribbon Cutting Postponed:
Unfortunately the mural installation had to be rescheduled to October - therefore there will not be a ribbon cutting this weekend at Artalicious. A new date will be posted on the Downtown Adrian page when we have more information.

Kiwanis Club of Adrian will host the third annual Duck Race during the 2026 Artalicious Fine Arts Fair:

These adorable pieces will be part of ACA's Louvre Jr tent during Artalicous. On Saturday, Sept 19th kids are able to create free art work at non-profits booths. Once they have completed 10 projects they can enter Louvre Jr and chose a piece of original artwork donated by local artists.

ARTALICIOUS ARCHITECTURAL WALKING TOUR:
Peter Barr and Paul Plassman are offering a free two-hour architectural walking tour of four buildings in downtown Adrian on September 19, 2026. The tour will begin at the 1861-63 Burnham Historical Building, 204 East Church Street, which is an outstanding example of Italianate architecture. From there the tour will explore structures along Church and Winter streets, including the 1855 Italianate-style Adrian Engine House No. 1, the 1909 Richardsonian Romanesque-style Lenawee Historical Museum (former Adrian Carnegie Library), and the 1888 Second Empire-style Clark Memorial Hall (Maggard Razors). No registration is required – just show up at the Burnham Historical Building’s parking lot at 1 pm. Wear comfortable walking shoes and expect both irregular pavements and stairs
