Dear friends ~
We wanted to share a personal update about Jim.
Two years ago, when Jim was diagnosed with brain cancer, we had no idea what the road ahead would look like. Since then, this community has surrounded us with prayers, encouragement, grace, and unwavering support. You have celebrated victories with us, carried us through setbacks, and reminded us time and again that we are not walking this journey alone. We are deeply grateful.
Recently, we received difficult news. Jim’s prognosis has changed, and new tumors have developed and are growing rapidly. His doctors have started an accelerated course of radiation in hopes of minimizing symptoms and keeping him as comfortable as possible in the immediate days ahead. Once that is finished this week, our doctors feel it is time to begin hospice care.
As you can imagine, our family is processing a lot right now. We are focusing on caring for Jim, spending quality time together, and cherishing each day as it comes. The uncertainty is hard, but we are leaning into our faith, our loved ones, and this incredible community that has stood beside us every step of the way.
We also want to reassure everyone that our business will continue to operate. Orders from our newest product lines, as well as previously placed orders, are being packed and shipped this week. We remain committed to serving you, though we ask for a little extra grace and patience as our family navigates this season.
Because of this change in Jim’s condition, we do need to reschedule the following events to allow us the flexibility to care for him and be together as a family:
• Color Me Crafty Palooza - 8/15/26
• Walking on Sunshine Bonanza - 9/26/26
Because we have already put the necessary plans and support in place, our Summer Camp 2026 remains unchanged and will continue as planned. We look forward to welcoming everyone and creating meaningful memories together.
This business has never felt like “just a business.” It is more than just paper. It has always been a community of people who care deeply for one another, and we have felt that love in countless ways over the years. Thank you for every prayer, message, order, and act of kindness. Thank you for walking alongside our family through both the joyful and the heartbreaking moments.
Please continue to keep Jim and our family in your thoughts and prayers.
With love & gratitude,
Michele and Lauren
