Life's to short.... rent another shop and keep filling your shops with tons of grateful local creators who just want a simple shop to sell in.
With that, I answered my phone the other day to a lady in a PA Dutch speaking accent and she asked if I would be interested in selling creations that a place that she works at, the residents there make things to help pass the time.
They have a little gift shop area at this place but no one seems to buy anything, crafts are piling up, and she had called around to some other places and they dont take crafts....
..so as I gathered more info from her and told her to reach out again when I will be at The Schoolhouse and I will look at what they make.
Well, that happened today and I just got done sprinkling in what they showed me this afternoon.
My shops are a community project, we make up a community, and I am here for the community....
...when expressing a need and desire to sell in my shops so others can continue to make more and have fun doing so....
...so, the cycle continues for them.
I gave them some ideas on what more to make for me so I can also take somethings to the village...
..those tourist will eat their stuff up coming from the true Lancaster County community and all that comes with that...
...the colorful fabrics, the hand sewn creations, and those creations you dont typically see for sale in shops...
...all because I said, Yes.... I will put their creations in my shop/shops and help them in their time of need to have a place to sell in so they can keep the residents busy .... and happy producing real handmade!
The Schoolhouse is closed but I am still here doing Jenny Lyn things...
..we will be back open Tuesday 10-5.
