We added a new creator to The Schoolhouse today... its her 1st Jenny Lyns shop

She makes these really cute resin earrings and other creations out of flowers so I put her in the area where I have other dried floral creations and that themed area is just so perfect now ❤️

💣 Family Fun Center in The Classroom with an old Pac Man Arcade Machine and a Wii Video Game System with lots of games to pick-n-play! You can also reserve a time slot so you can come hang with us. We also have a variety of Board Games to available to pick n play and you even can go on a Scavenger Hunt in this old Schoolhouse. There are even 2 vintage cars for even The Littles to zoom zoom around with adult supervision of course all around the 2nd floor of the school to keep them occupied too.

🫓 Fresh Sourdough Creations gets delivered on Mondays & Thursdays from The Sourdough Pimp, while supplies lasts. We also have Frozen available in the freezer. If you cant find what you are looking for, we also take orders for anything you might like and we have a sheet available with all her options at the counter to pick from. I have been wanting to share this with you all now for a week....
..but life, life happens and I kept forgetting.

So, there was a mom and 3 kids who came into my shop one day last week, maybe it was 2 weeks ago.... time flies

Anyhow, I had to run upstairs to put something in the Classroom and there they were....mom reading a book to her children and they were all sitting and listening so nicely... so I left as fast as I showed up not to disturb them.

But I thought that was the most sweetest thing I have ever witnessed in this shop.

Then they came downstairs, they wanted to pay for their candy they got to pick out from the candy jars upstairs.

Here is where it gets better and very heartwarming 💕

The oldest child was celebrating her 10th birthday and of all of the places a 10 year old could have picked, she told her mom she wanted to go to Jenny Lyns!
....oh my gosh... when I heard that, I was in shock.
..Come to my shop for her birthday to celebrate it by visiting, listening to a book, picking out candy from my candy jars and just hanging out there with her mom and siblings.

Well, it was such an honor and they may have left without having to pay for most of their candy and a few squishmallows were given for such an occasion because this was my 1st birthday celebration at the schoolhouse and I wanted to create even more memories for them because they definitely made some for me.....
... this right here is what my shops are all about.

.... family, fun, community, and so much more than I can even write.

My shops are my home away from home and its where I love to be....
...and it shows that others love to be there too.

People of all ages, even kids....
... 10 years and younger because her siblings were just as happy to be there celebrating her special day in the Schoolhouse...

.... with me! I was an extra bonus to be their that day because I was working the shop and i was just so happy to see such happiness.

And here I am when I was about 10 years old and thinking what I did for my 10th birthday.... probably a trip to McDonald's as that was an unusual treat for us and going out to eat was rare and loved!

Thanks to this family and this little girl to show me just how much of an impact me and my shops are creating....
... it felt so so good and its much uplifting moment as I keep swimming thru this shop life.

I got to much invested now so there is no swimming back so it is... full speed ahead with some special strokes.

FYI.... this girl dont even know how to swim but I tell ya, I am giving it my best shot!

4 years of swimming and so many times that I was and still am swimming against a raging current.

The economy still stinks and it was to be better by now.... its hard for shops like us to keep going but as hard headed as I am, I am still trying to stay a float

Busy week ahead following a busy weekend...
...but I wanted to take sometime to say Thank You all for all of your support and I am ready to take on another week.

Each day, every day.... I will be behind a Jenny Lyns counter....
.. days off these days are rare, very very rare.

But opening up the 3rd shop was meant to be and I will do the time and do what it takes to keep all 3 shops open.

Somedays I am only at one shop and somedays, I am at 2 shops.... and on extreme craziness, I will show up at all 3

I live a life of survival and this month put me at the 4 year mark...
..still hanging on, still holding on, and still being me doing what I love.

Its Next Weekend...
..and Good News as I have decided to open up The Schoolhouse on Sunday and make it a 2 day full of celebration!

Hear it coming straight from my mouth on the road I was on with the hills, valleys, and the mountains I had to climb to get where I am today....
...its hasnt been easy along my road and I started from the deepest of trenches but I did it my way and as I keep digging out, I want to share with you all that it is possible to get to your dreams if you keep the will to survive and believing in yourself and your grit and determination to keep on keeping on!

Rebecca will be giving out free samples of her coffee from Equador...
..she is taking her test soon to be safe served certified and will be the one setting up in at The Café area in The Mercantile shop when she gets her proper certificates and can serve her coffee creations.

We are both excited as she was givin the opportunity when my location opened up again so she is working on her dreams .... one cup at a time!

So Saturday from 11-3 she will be upstairs in The Schoolhouse giving out samples of her coffee from Equador.

So stop, shop, support, sip, and celebrate with us on our 2nd and 4th Anniversary.
