23 years ago today, we opened this thing in Highland Square. Never could have been prepared for anything that came after. Thank you for always supporting us from the start until the unexpected end. So many memories, some of which I may share through the end of the month, but it’s time to close this chapter. Miss you all so much. See ya around sometime ❤️

Hi everyone. It’s Dave, the guy that used to be behind the counter at Square Records most the time, and ignored you. I haven’t been able to make too many posts or gather my thoughts on the many ways that friends and acquaintances have helped me since I’ve needed to step away from the shop. But I wanted to thank all of these bands and Musica for supporting me. It was very unexpected and means a lot to me. Many of you supported me and the shop immensely in the final months last year. I cannot thank you enough. I miss everyone so much. Square Records was my daily life for almost 23 years and I can’t stress enough how lucky I’ve been for that to happen to me. Thanks so much to Juniper for landing the plane safely, getting things taken care of during closing. And to the other countless people who helped in so many ways. You know who you are. Maybe I’ll be back some day. Who knows. Thanks so much everyone

Anybody want a cactus? It is insanely hardy considering it lived in a record store for 20 years. Having a hard time just putting it in the garbage. Would have to be picked up tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the LAST day Square will be in the Square! We have still been putting more used records on sale (see pic for some 50% off recs) and there are still some free things but the biggest DEAL is our 20% off sale on everything not already on sale - new and used. Would love to see you out on our last day. 12-5p

Tomorrow/Friday starts our annual after Xmas sale - 20% off everything that isn’t already on sale. There is some free stuff to come and grab and more added to the ongoing used LP sale, so lots going on!
Our last Friday-Saturday 11-6, Sunday 12-5 in this location. We pack it all up and move next week.
