This one is pretty special to me. 🌸
When I opened Alachua Flowers, I don’t think I ever really thought about “building a brand” or even what the business might look like years down the road. I just knew I loved flowers, I loved people, and I loved this community.
Somewhere along the way, the shop became woven into so many parts of my life — our schools, churches, the Woman’s Club, the Chamber, local events, weddings, celebrations, fundraisers, and so many ordinary days in between.
And the funny thing is, I never really considered any of that marketing. It was just being part of the community I live in and love.
So hearing someone else describe Alachua Flowers as a trusted part of the community honestly hit me a little differently. ❤️
I had such a great time sitting down with the Mind The Gap Podcast and talking about the journey of owning a small business, the community that has supported me through it, and a whole lot more.
This is just a little clip from our conversation, and apparently I had quite a bit to say. 😂
The full episode drops next Tuesday, and I’m equal parts excited and slightly terrified to watch myself talk for that long. 🤣
But I’m incredibly grateful they asked me to be part of it.
Alachua has given me so much more than a place to own a flower shop. It gave me friendships, opportunities, memories, and a place that truly feels like home. 🌸❤️
