I found this new seam ripper recently and ordered several. It fits nicely in your hand and the bottom tip is rubberized so that you can rub it along the ripped stitches to help pull them out. I know ripping is not a favorite task for most folks, but having a nice seam ripper helps make the job less frustrating.

Don’t wait until your machine is so full of lint that it stops working before bringing it in for service! This poor baby was too full of lint to function properly. Don’t worry though, our service technician, Tony, was able to get it cleaned out, adjusted, oiled and working properly again.

Cynthia has finished up a couple of our new Corinne LaPierre wool felt embroidery kits. The first photo is a pin cushion. The hearts in the second photo were both made from one kit. She used a little bit of wool from her stash for the backs but the fronts were both made from one kit. She could do this because she used the intended backing wool felt from the kit for the front of the second one.

We’ve got quite a nice selection of these little kits if you are looking for a fun hand sewing project.

Karen B. fell in love with the new Scary Spice collection. She used the Villa Rosa Designs pattern, Turtle Soup, to make an adorable quilt. She brought it to me for quilting. I went looking for some fun Halloween designs and found a great cobweb design which looks great on her quilt.
