Big News for the Traditional Archery Community!
We’re incredibly excited to announce that the retail side of Big Jim’s Bow Company has officially been acquired by Short & Paulk Supply Company of Sylvester, Georgia!
First and foremost, we want everyone to know that Big Jim isn’t going anywhere. Jim simply wanted to get back to what he loves most and that’s building bows. Instead of spending his days managing the retail operation, he’ll be back in the bow shop, sanding, shaping, and handcrafting the custom bows that have earned the trust and respect of traditional archers for decades.
Just as importantly, Big Jim will continue to be the face and heart of Big Jim’s Bow Company. The tradition, craftsmanship, and passion that built this company are not changing.
Our mission at Short & Paulk Supply Company is to build on that legacy by taking the retail side to the next level. We’ll be expanding inventory, adding new products, improving the shopping experience, and continuing to serve the traditional archery community with the same friendly, family-oriented atmosphere you’ve always known.

Our new retail location is just 10 to 15 minutes from Big Jim’s original shop, making it easy for customers to continue visiting us while giving us room to grow.
Transition Update!
As we move into our new facility, our retail store and website will be temporarily unavailable during the transition. Our goal is to reopen and have everything back up and running by mid-August.
We also realize there has been a delay in responding to emails and website inquiries during this transition. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding. Once we’re fully operational, every email, order, and customer inquiry will be addressed as quickly as possible.
This partnership brings together the best of both worlds, allowing Big Jim to focus on building exceptional bows while Short & Paulk Supply Company focuses on growing one of the nation’s premier traditional archery retailers while preserving the heritage and values that have made Big Jim’s Bow Company so respected.
