📅 Wednesday, September 30th
⏰ 7pm EST
💻 Google Meet
🎟️ COMPLETELY FREE TO JOIN!

This month we've been reading ✨ We Are All Guilty Here by Karin Slaughter ✨ — a dark, twisty mystery following a small Georgia town rocked by the disappearance of two teenage girls. As the investigation unfolds, secrets surface, mistakes come to light, and it becomes increasingly clear that everybody may have something to hide. 👀🔎

Basically? A PERFECT little gateway into spooky-season reading. 🍂🔪📚

But here's your VERY IMPORTANT reminder:

🚨 YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FINISH THE BOOK TO COME TO BOOK CLUB. 🚨

Didn't finish it? COME ANYWAY.

Only halfway through? COME ANYWAY.

Bought it with excellent intentions and it's still sitting untouched on your nightstand?

BESTIE. COME ANYWAY. 😂👏

Sweet Tea & Stories has NEVER been about assigning homework.

It's about creating a cozy little community where readers can meet other Book Besties, talk books, share recommendations, laugh together, and inevitably leave with an even longer TBR than they started with. 🥹📚

And if you've been watching our book club from afar thinking about joining...

THIS IS YOUR INVITATION. 🤎

Our club is:

✨ FREE to join
💻 Completely VIRTUAL — join from your couch!
📚 Open to new members ANYTIME
🤎 No-pressure & no-guilt
🛍️ Members receive 10% OFF each month's book club selection when purchased through The Whim Wag!

No commute. No need to get dressed up. No awkward “but I haven't finished the book…” guilt.

Grab a blanket, pour something yummy, open the laptop and COME TALK BOOKS WITH US. ☕️🛋️📖

Interested in joining before next week's meeting?

📲 SEND THE WHIM WAG A MESSAGE!

We'll get you added to Sweet Tea & Stories and send you everything you need. 🤗

🐉⚔️ THRESHING DAY — REBECCA YARROS

EMPYREAN BESTIES, WE'RE GOING BACK TO BASGIATH!!!

Lynn Painter is BACK. 👏

Small-town Nebraska girl Julia's family unexpectedly inherits a fortune and gets whisked away to New York City, where she's suddenly navigating an elite private school, a completely different world...and a mysterious tutor named Damion who has a pretty BIG secret of his own. 👀

We're talking rags-to-riches, secrets, banter, slow-burn chemistry and romance from the author of Better Than the Movies. 🥹🧡

🎨📚 OUR VERY FIRST COZY CRAFT NIGHT!!! 📚🎨

Last week, we officially hosted our FIRST EVER Cozy Craft Night at The Whim Wag and y'all... WHAT. A. NIGHT. 🥹🤎

Our tiny bookshop was filled with crafting, snacks, conversation, laughter, new friendships, after-hours book shopping, and SO. MANY. BOOKMARKS. 😂📖

And can we talk about how CREATIVE everyone was?!

No two bookmarks looked the same, and watching everybody take the same supplies and turn them into completely different little pieces of bookish art was one of our favorite parts of the entire evening. 🎨✨

THIS is exactly why we wanted to start hosting Cozy Craft Nights.

A cozy space.

A table full of supplies.

Good food.

Good books.

And a room full of people who might walk in as strangers but spend the evening creating and laughing together. 🥹📚🤎

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who joined us for our very first one. You made this little idea of ours even better than we imagined, and now we absolutely cannot WAIT to do it again!

And speaking of doing it again... 👀

🎃 OCTOBER = TWO COZY CRAFT NIGHTS!!!

One Cozy Craft Night down...

SO. MANY. MORE. COZY. NIGHTS. TO. GO. 🍂🎨📚

We can't wait to see who joins us next. 🥹🤎

ONLY 5 OCTOBER 14TH TICKETS REMAIN — who's claiming one?! 👀🎃

📚🤎 THIS WEEK AT THE WHIM WAG 🤎📚

Book Besties, we're rolling into a brand-new week at our tiny little bookstore—and this one is looking a little more slow, cozy & bookish. 🍂☕️

No giant event schedule. No running in seventeen directions. Just plenty of time to COME SHOP THE WAG. 🥹📚

And while the storefront will be closed Wednesday, we've still got one VERY important date on the calendar... ☕️📖 SWEET TEA & STORIES SOCIETY!

Our virtual Book Club meets Wednesday, September 30th at 7PM EST! 🤎

This month's read is We Are All Guilty Here by Karin Slaughter, but remember: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FINISH THE BOOK TO JOIN US!

Halfway through? Come hang out.

Barely started? Come hang out.

Didn't read a single page but want to meet some fellow Book Besties before jumping in with our October pick?

COME. HANG. OUT. 😂👏

Sweet Tea & Stories is completely FREE to join, virtual via Google Meet, and our members receive 10% OFF each month's book club selection when purchased through The Whim Wag! 📚✨

📲 Message us if you'd like to join before Wednesday's meeting!

Otherwise, come see us this week, browse the shelves, bring us those gently used book donations for your 10% same-day in-store discount 👀, pick up something new for your Fall TBR, and enjoy a little cozy bookstore time with us. 🍂📖

HELLO, OCTOBER. WE'RE READY FOR YA. 🎃📚🤎

OH, BESTIE. ABSOLUTELY NOT. 😂👏

We're making a WHOLE NIGHT of it.

✨ WELCOME TO OUR NIGHT IN PRYTHIAN. ✨

We're talking...

👗 COSTUME PARTY — Come dressed for your favorite Court, character, creature, or simply show up looking like you belong somewhere in Prythian. GO ALL OUT. 👏

🧠 ACOTAR TRIVIA — Time to find out whether all those rereads were actually educational.

🎟️ RAFFLE PRIZES

🎲 GAMES

💃 DANCING

🍷 Drinks available through The Rustic

🧀🍰 Charcuterie cups + cakesicles available for PRE-ORDER through The Abundant Table

📚 AND, of course...

THE BOOK RELEASE WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR. 😭😭😭

At midnight, pre-ordered copies purchased through The Whim Wag will finally make their way into your hands. 🌙📖✨

🚨 AND WE NEED TO MAKE THIS VERY CLEAR:

If you want a guaranteed copy from us at release, YOU NEED TO PRE-ORDER THROUGH THE WHIM WAG. Showing up to the party does not automatically reserve you a book.

🧀 GET THOSE FOOD PRE-ORDERS IN!

Our friends at The Abundant Table are offering individual charcuterie cups + cakesicles for the evening, and ALL FOOD PRE-ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY OCTOBER 24TH!

Use “ACOTAR PRE-RELEASE ORDER” in your order/payment notes so they know it's for our event!

And YES...

🎟️ THE PARTY ITSELF IS FREE!!!

Grab your free ticket, assemble your Inner Circle, choose your Court, plan that costume, preorder your book, order your snacks, and prepare to spend the evening surrounded by people who understand exactly why this release is SUCH. A. BIG. DEAL. 😭
