Sun Bonnet Sue's Antiques You will find antiques & crafts of all kind. Located at 16221 E Erie Albion MI 49224. Together they would travel many miles and visit many antique shops.

Retired Albion School employee, Sue Merritt, always had a passion to go look at old items with her husband Richard. She never had a place of her own to run one so she started renting a booth in Schoolcraft. 10 months after she started selling things, they closed down. That's when the idea of having her own antique shop and working her own hours came into play. She noticed a beautiful red barn on h

er way home and soon consulted with her son, Rick a project manager, and that is when Sue's dream started coming true. Together they built a barn to hold her business. Sun Bonnet Sue's Antiques will open three miles east of Albion at 16221 E Erie. Items collected from her friends and family will be available. The shop will be an occasional store open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday afternoons. Also, if you call ahead we can schedule a time. The name Sun Bonnet Sue's was chosen because of a quilt that she made from her daughter in the 1970's which will be displayed on the store. Her father was a collector of everything so she has many of his books, bottles, ladders and many other things. She will also have hand painted Amish items, glassware, singer sewing machine, iron board, welding projects from her grandson, along with some crafts made from the family.

After road construction our road is almost finished. Will be open Saturday noon to 5. Lots of new items from the estate. Toys, tools and more pyrex dishes.
