Our special collections room has some amazing books! Here, we’re focusing on a copy of William Faulkner’s “Idyll in the Desert.” It’s the story of a woman from Arizona leaving her family for a younger man, a love triangle similar to his following work, “The Wild Palms.” A limited edition short story, this copy is signed by William Faulkner on a limitation page at the back of the book, with original marbled red paper boards, printed paper label, and has a new glassine dust jacket.

Gabrielle brings us one of her favorite books of late, The Correspondent by Virginia Evans! She has this to say about the bestselling novel (soon to be a movie starring Jane Fonda):

We’re so grateful to St. John’s College St. John's College for their ABQ Reads event this weekend! Page 1 Books, Bookworks, and Books on the Bosque all hosted members of the St. John’s staff who spent the weekend buying books for teen readers.

Over 200 books ended up in the hands of young adults because of the College! Thanks for investing in the future of New Mexican literacy, and thanks to everyone who swung by to pick up a classic 📚 💖 👩‍🎓 👨‍🎓

New to the team and already full of recommendations, Madison has this to say about T. J. Klune’s Under the Whispering Door:
