Started doing repairs in music stores in 2000, started my own shop in Austin in 2008, (Atomic Power, because percolator was already a registered business), mostly toured 2010-2015, started percolator in Austin in 2015, moved and started in the spare room at our apartment here in Albuquerque on this day in 2018!

I have been busy from the jump, got a spot at the collective, moved to .albuquerque in 2019, moved into my garage in 2022, and into my current space in 2023. Still doing all customer repairs for Music Go Round, they are a great partner! Thank you Albuquerque for 8 years of growth and steady work!

Two real beauties through in the last couple days. A Cutlass in for a bridge pickup swap to the classic stack plus, and went to white covers on all 3.
I AM A SUCKER FOR A MATCHING HEADSTOCK!

Also, a studiomatic with a wiring gremlin. Ended up just getting a new output Jack. Problem solved. What a cool and versatile guitar. Made me rabbit hole on what the circuit does. It’s basically a couple different high pass filters to eliminate some of those low frequencies for recording. George is my favorite Beatle.

An early example of the MIJ “Squier by Fender” guitars.
Fender Japan 3 bolt neck plate and Fender Japan tuners. It’s a light weight, great playing guitar.

According to owner, it had some of its electronic components parted out to another project years ago, and it sat for a long time. I got the guts back and up and running, that’s a splittable humbucker disguised as single coil in the bridge that sounds great in either mode. This poor closet creeper is back and ready for some rockin’.
