📣 NFA TRANSFER UPDATE FROM BMC TACTICAL

Following ATF’s October 9, 2026 policy change, BMC Tactical will process eligible transfers using ATF Form 4473—the fi***rm transfer paperwork—for:

• Suppressors
• Short-barreled ri**es (SBRs)
• Short-barreled sh****ns (SBSs)
• Items classified as “Any Other Weapons” (AOWs)

Before any item leaves our store, we must confirm that the transfer meets all applicable requirements. That includes our dealer tax status, your eligibility, state and local law, and required background-check and waiting-period steps.

Customers choosing to receive an item without completing NFA registration will review and sign an acknowledgment explaining the risks.

What should you know? This is a change in federal enforcement policy. The NFA has not been repealed. Enforcement could return, and there is no automatic protection for unregistered items or guaranteed opportunity to register them later. Voluntary ATF registration remains available.

Already have a pending Form 4? Please contact the location handling your transfer before coming in. Each pending application must be reviewed before we can confirm pickup.

This change does not cover machine guns or destructive devices.

We’ll walk you through the process and explain your options.

Today, as Dave’s family and friends gather to remember him, I’ve been thinking about the many years—and the many questionable decisions—we shared.

Dave and I had been friends since at least 1992. In high school, we spent plenty of time at the arcade or bouncing down dirt roads when we were supposed to be in class or sitting through an assembly. As we got older, there were far too many nights when we stayed until closing time at Lucky’s Lounge, and I’ll never forget watching Dave dance with the ladies at Graham Central Station.

We shared shooting trips, off-roading, camping, ci**rs, bonfires, and irresponsibly fast drives down paved and dirt roads while blasting our favorite jams. Dave also worked at BMC from around 2005 to 2010, and some of our longtime customers may remember him from those years.

Dave loved his wife, Melissa, deeply. She stood beside him and cared for him until the very end, and my heart remains with her today.

I wish I could be there in person, but I’m there in spirit—remembering my friend, the trouble we found, the miles we traveled, and a lifetime’s worth of stories that still make me smile.

Rest easy, Dave. I’ll never forget you.
