I always try to take July off from events, and this year it was exactly what I needed.

Between unexpected travel, precious time with friends, a time for grieving, and a chance to rest and recharge, I’m so thankful I slowed down.

There is nothing wrong with taking time for yourself. I hope today you’re enjoying a good book, time outside, Sunday dinner, or simply doing something you love.

Summer has flown by, and busy season is almost here again!

This weekend our college friends received the news no one ever wants to hear. We lost one of our very best friends, and we’re still trying to wrap our hearts around it. Hurt. Shocked. Heartbroken.

We came together from all over to celebrate her beautiful life. It was a brutal, beautiful weekend filled with tears, laughter, stories, hugs, and memories we’ll carry forever.

Life is so fragile. Take the call. Make the trip. Plan the dinner. Don’t wait for “someday.” The people God has placed in your life are one of His greatest gifts.
