Thank you to all of you have come to the store in past couple days to wish me well and to purchase a souvenir from the store. Since I posted that Facebook posting two days ago, I have come in contact and signed an agreement with an online auction company--Rasmus. The good news is that rather than taking 75% off, you can bid for the stuff you want from the comfort of your easy chair. Do an online search for Rasmus and Artfully Chocolate and you will be sent to the site. They will start populating the site in the next few days with all the goodies at the store. The good thing for me is that they will take care of all of the logistics. The good thing for you is that there is no minimum price, so you can get great bargains doing it this way. So, to avoid confusion, we have ended the 75% off and now are focusing completely on the Rasmus auction. I am looking forward to it. It should be a great experience for everyone.

Thanks again for all your kind remarks on Facebook, in person, texts and emails. I feel truly loved.

Hi. Thank you to everyone who expressed sadness about Artfully Chocolate closing. It is true. The business has not been as successful as I had hoped it would be. And, for those of you who know me, you know that I opened Artfully Chocolate so that I would have a venue to show and sell my artwork, in addition to the chocolate and everything else. The honest truth is that the management side of the businesses has consumed me and I feel that my life is no longer in the balance it once was and that I need it to be. I still get huge pleasure out of selling my artwork, but it is now overwhelmed by the headaches of managing a business. I am sad to say good bye to all my friends in Del Ray and Carlyle (and I am still hearing from people who miss us at our D.C. location). But, the Carlyle location is still open for a few weeks. And, I will be having a huge sale in a couple weeks with everything (including the artwork) on sale. Please come by if you can over the next few weeks. I'd love to see you.
